The purpose of the Plan Room/Project
Information Dissemination (PID) Service is to:
- create an online capability in-house to identfy yet-to-bid
construction projects by trade prior to members' ability
to get this information through other sources; and communicate
this information to its NYSAMC Members in a customized,
affordable, timely manner via email.
- provide a resource library to assist contractors in estimating
bids
- and reproduce construction plan and drawings on upcoming
projects by trade for members to use in doing take-offs
and estimating costs for bidding theses jobs.
In 2004, NYSAMC won $100,000 in State Grants as seed money
for establishing its own management and business training
program and an expanded PID/Plan Room at its Brooklyn Navy
Yard headquarters. The implimentation of the PID/Plan Room
is currently underway.
